A brisk wind from the North East  was giving the newly-finished rip-rap defences at East Lane some attention.

Behind the headland is low-lying marshy ground, the home of bulrushes and WW2 pillboxes .. and now art!

Looking north towards Shingle Street the fury of the waves becomes more evident, with breakers soaking the walkway behind the headland defences. The steep beach, centre, takes the punishment easily, absorbing the energy through the noisily-moving shingle.
