This study features a small
length of the Afon Elan just above the bridge over the stream, centre.
At 320 metres of just over 1000' this is a decidedly upland stream, with
the classic features of a typical streambed. |

Details of the
river's course; with modest dimensions and depths, the stream
represent an ideal location for students to study stream
morphology and take the requisite measurements. |

Just above this
section a river gauge is mentioned on the map, which should be
of use in determining the regime characteristics of the stream
at this point. |
